While in middle I had the stupidest idea to steal with my friend. Of course we got caught and we were taken into a room. The LP there called the cops. When they got there they asked me serval questions like how I was doing in school and stuff. After that they gave me a court day and told me to show up. What I don't remember is wether or not this is on my record. I was to court and the judge did they same thing she asked me about school and why I did it. She told me to stay away from the Sear's for 6 months. But I don't know if it's on my record. I didn't get my finger prints taken like this other girl I knew that got caught so is this on my record? I'm trying to apply for an internship for an accounting firm and I'm not sure if that stuff is on my record or not.
If you went before a judge, it is on your record. Sounds like you got a deferred disposition which means that after the 6 months, the case will be dismissed and you can expunge it from your record in the future.
