''Magistrate'' signature on arrrest warrant

Is an arrest warrant legal when the document stipulates a signature: Magistrate, but instead of a magistrate�s signature it is signed by the court docket filing clerk? This is in North Dakota and the charge was a misdemeanor for writing a worthless check. Is the warrant as worthless as the crime it represents? Who has the power or authority to sign an arrest warrant?

Unemployment appeal denied

I was denied unemployment insurance in the appeals process. I submitted a written account of my reasons for appealing including a perfectly analogous precedent decision by the state appeals board. I didn't bring up the precedent during the hearing, figuring that my written submission would carry the day. The administrative law judge's opinion denying my appeal did not mention the precedent decision. When I appealed to the state appeals board, I resubmitted my written reason for appealing. Again I was denied and told that I wasn't allowed to submit new evidence.

Why did the administrative law judge ignore the evidence I submitted in my written reason for appeal? Should I have mentioned the precedent decision verbally?

I wascharged in District Court my bail was set at $500. cash or bond. I paid a cash bail. My court appointed attorney did not inform me when my first appearance was. One afternoon I thought to myself, ''I must be having court one of these days''. I called the clerk of court and found out I missed my date and my bail had been was forfeited. Not only did my attorney not send me information when I was to appear he did not even try to call or send a letter when I did not show up.

I made a voluntary appearance in court the following morning (that was the soonest court was in session) without representation. The judge appointed me a different attorney and released me on personal recognizance, to the States Attorneys� dismay; who was trying to get it upped to $50,000. The case ended up being dismissed (without prejudice) a month later. Does the court have to return my bail money since the case was dismissed? If so, how do I get it back? Does anyone know of case law or case precedence to back my claim to my bail money?

D emurrer Cross Complaint Lawsuit

As I am the plaintiff and not responsible for any judgments that I am seeking against the defendants including her, I contacted her, told her that she has incorrectly included me in her cross complaint lawsuit, served me with the papers, and asked her to remove me from her complaint. She has refused to do so.

I plan to demurrer her complaint and file it with the superior court before the 30 days deadline. I appreciate your advice on the following questions:

Is my decision to demurrer the complaint correct, or, I should just file an answer?

Besides the argument that I am the plaintiff and not responsible for any judgments that I am seeking against the defendants, what other arguments will be appropriate to be included in my demurrer?

Since the defendant refused to amend her complaint and remove my name, what are the chances that the judge will grant my request and sanction this defendant for wasting my time if I file a motion to sanction the defendant?

Will it be possible to sue the 911 dispatch center for stubbornly, and breaking law, refusing repeatedly to process release of tape to rightful requests? Been trying since Oct 2005, and this is just crazed wrong. Without the tape, I have not got the evidence, for another lawsuit personally to stop stalking/assaults.

998 Compromise offers

I have 4 independent defendants in my civil case lawsuit that I have filed in the superior court. Three of them are willing to settle the case, but the fourth one who is in pro per is not at all interested to settle.

Pursuant to Code Civ. Proc. � 998, I want to make a compromise offer to the defendants. To persuade the fourth defendant into settling the case with me, I plan to make a separate 998 offer to him. My belief is this that if I settle my case with the three defendants, the fourth defendant will feel isolated and pressured to accept my offer to compromise.

Here are my questions:

1) Can I make two separate 998 offers to the defendants (one to three defendants and the other to the fourth one)

2) If the three defendants accept my compromise offer and the fourth one does not, can I settle my lawsuit with the three defendants and continue with the fourth one until we go to trial?
