I have been married a little over a year but due to physical, verbal and emotional abuse divorce is where I want to go. My husband has never held down employment for any length of time. I want to know am I obligated for his health insurance since he has none, when we divorce. No children, no joint assets or property

Usually not. If he is mentally and physically able to get a job, then you are certainly not obligated.
