Re: Foreclosure

A part of the standard disclosure that all attorneys must give to bankruptcy candidates is that one may file for bankruptcy:

1. On their own

2. With the help of an attorney

3. With the help of a petition preparer, who can do the paperwork but cannot give legal advice.

Especially in the event of a foreclosure, there are simply too many legal issues of significant importance, and leaving the case to chance is quite risky. A typical bankruptcy petition is 50+ pages, and that's quite a handful for one to do on their own.

Feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions.
