In need of advice

I only make $13 p/h and I'm paying $800 in child support for 1 child. Is that too much? Also, my fiancee is pregnant... once we get married and have the baby does the amount I currently pay change? Please help

Re: In need of advice

You didn't give an amount for the mother's salary, so I can't calculate what your child support should be. I ran it with her salary from minimum wage up to $100,000, and your child support never goes over $400 per month.

However, you didn't say whether the $800 fgure included any daycare, aftercare, health insurance, or back support, which could easily put you at $800 per month.

A new child may lower your support, especially if you live in the Tampa Bay area, where the appellate court that presides there has said that child support can be reduced in order to support other children that live with the support payor.
