I recently got an OWI in the State of Iowa. My court date is 7/3/08. I am currently in orientation for my new job and they will fire me if I take off work to go to court. I would like to postpone the court date until after my orientation period.

If that's the case you should contact the county attorney and see what you can do about rescheduling your appearance. It may be difficult on such short notice.
