Scary divorce
I am going through a difficult divorce and trying to get legal help. In the mean time I want to make sure I am doing everything right. I was married 19 years, have one son together, but 5 years ago she began having affairs with women very openly in front of me and my son. 2 years ago she moved in with one to the women she ''fell in love with''. I was not in rush to file for divorce as the cost was not something I could afford at the time. However, in the past 6 or so years my wife has been hospitalized numerous times for attempting to take her life using pills. She has now broke up with her girlfriend and forced herself back into my home. She attempted to kill herself twice more in the past 2 months and now physically assaulted me; tearing my shirt off and trying to stab me with a pencil in front of my son. The police were called and she was taken away to jail. She was charged with DV, DV in front of a child, and intoxication. I filed a protection order to establish custody and protect my son while she is still in jail. Since then her girlfriend texted me stating that she spoke to my wife�s attorney and they are going to use what happened to prove that I drove her to assault me and also the hospitalizations.

I believe I responded to an earlier post of yours on this site. You should file and get a formal order of custody from the court, including a restraining order to keep her away.
