Hello, I live in a apartment complex in San Antonio Texas, within Bexar County. Today I heard a loud bang and it turns out the people that live above me accidentally discharged their AR15 rifle, and the bullet went through their floor, through my roof and landed in my bedroom with fragments of ceiling and bullet all over my bed. Cops came and said they can't do anything but cite him, and it was likely to be dropped, because it is legal for him to have a gun in his house, but to me having a gun and shooting a round into my bedroom, even if accidental, are two very different things. Looking for any advice of what my next step should be and if their is any laws pertaining to what happened. Thanks in advance.

Doubtful anything other than getting the complex to move you will happen (although most apartments would evict him for that.)
