My husband and I are going through a misunderstanding and a posible separation or divorce. He left the house 5 days ago. He called me yesterday and we talked for a while and i told him he needs to take all his stuff out of the house and then we should talk at 6pm. So he went to our house WITH his dad and a police officer. The police officer explained that he's just there to make sure that my husband is protected? I was in a big amaze! I have no clue what got into him to think that i could hurt him? Is this legal? a police officer to escort him with clearly no threat or danger have been previously done against him, no explicit/implicit threat at all? Not to mention, I am 120lbs 5'1 girl with our 1yr old baby and he is 250lb 6'1 man with his dad who is 270lb 6'2 guy????? Although, I know my husband himself would have not possibly think of doing such a thing, i know somebody (dad) must have put something into his head to make him do something like that. Can I sue him and his family? is this invasion of privacy?

I don't know why your husband wanted a cop there. A good reason would be that the cop would be a good witness to testify on his behalf if you were to allege something that was not true such as family violence or if you were to hit him and later allege that he hit you. Perhaps the fact that he is so much larger than you made him concerned. If he brought a cop, at least he planned on behaving himself.

I don't think you have a claim for invasion of privacy.
