So I sold my boat and promised new owner the slip as well since it was fully paid for the remainder of the summer season. As suggested by the owner of the marina stating that it would be more appealing when selling a boat. So now that boat its sold the marina's owner is no where to be found for me to introduce the new owners to him properly. My question is: Can the Marina's owner tries to maliciously charge again for the same boat slip and same boat to the new owner ? I have all checks cashed by the marina for summer dockage but unfortunately I dont have a proper contractual agreement from the marina just the cashed checks written for what for in the memo line...Should I worry?

No one can predict what could happen. But based on the circumstances described, in terms of making the suggestion to be helpful to you in the sale of your vessel and the availability of the cashed checks, it would appear that there wouldn't really be a good reason for doing something like that.
