imigration question:came with tourist visa

My now boyfriend came as a tourist, applied for a extension of stay which was denied and received a letter saying that had 180 days to leave under section 212(a)(9)(B)(i), he never did...it's been 3 years, we met last year and want to get married, but somebody told us that because of that letter he won't be able to get legal, that he will be deported...is that true? What can we do?

Re: imigration question:came with tourist visa

If you are a US citizen, your boyfriend may apply for permanent resident after you get married. If you do it right with the attorney's help, he can avoid the risk of deportation.

Please contact me directly if you need detailed evaluation of your case.
