unstable non-custodial parent

My sons father is like a ticking time bomb, he acts out in ways that normal people can not understand. I dont want to take away his right to see his son but i do believe it should be very limited as far as keeping him especially considering his current state of mind. What steps can i take to maybe have supervised visits or limit his time to maybe one day a week or something. I can't rest easily when my son goes with him. I feel trapped because I don't want to deny him or especially my son a relationship with his father but I don't think he can take care of him alone either. Child support has been filed but I have yet to hear anything from Family court. Its has been 51/2 months since i initially filed. I really need help to move on with my life his irractic behavior his putting a damper on my life personal and professional.

Re: unstable non-custodial parent

If you have an attorney, they should have results for you by now with the child support issue. As far as the supervised visitation, you will need to establish in court that he is what you claim. You surely understand that many women claim their ex is dangerous, so the court needs some proof. Past criminal issues, drug issues, that kind of thing. If it is just your opinion, you need to figure out ways to substantiate it.

Let me know if that helped, or if you have more questions.
