Wills-surving children and named executor

My Grandmother has named me as an Executor of her will. My mother was named as beneficiary, but has passed away. There are no other beneficiaries named in the will. As Executor, and Grandaughter who will I be entitled to my Grandmothers property by default? There are 2 other surviving children of my mother, and several great grandchildren.

Re: Wills-surving children and named executor

The Alabama Code specifies how property shall be distributed when a beneficiary dies prior to the testator BUT in this case, the actual wording of the will is mighty important, so I advise you to take a copy of the will to a local attorney and let her/him give you solid advice. I am in Hoover for example.
