My husband and I recently found out that his previous marriage's annulment was not legally rendered until almost 2 months after we got married. This has been nearly 16 years ago. We are still very much together and have no intention to get divorced but now we're worried that our marriage is not legal. His annulment was from NY State and was not legally rendered until 1/99 but he had thought it was official when he signed her final papers in August. We were married in Nevada on 11/98. (Also, not sure if it matters, but our relationship was not a factor in their separation. They were already apart when we met. ) Please advise.

You're not married. If you want to be married, you have to get a license and get married now.
