divorce paid with MY credit card!

My now ex-wife used my credit card to pay for an attorney in our divorce. I learned of this 1 month after the divorce was final. Also the attorney knew that it was my card. Can I file charges against my exwife and her attorney?

Re: divorce paid with MY credit card!

Almost certainly not (although you have posted too few facts to say anything for certain).

First of all, if it was a card she was authorized to use you have no complaint at all.

Even if that were not true, it would be negligent on your part not to check a statement for several months. At a minimum the decree happened a month after she paid the lawyer, and we're talking a month later.

Finally, almost every divorce settlement will have language releasing all other claims not discussed in the agreement.
