My son was arrested and bail was set at $3000 so needs 10% or $300 to be released from jail. If I post this money will I get it back?

No. The way it works if you show up with $3000 you'll get that back after the trial win or lose. If you go to a bail bondsman you pay 10 to 15% of the bail to the bail bondsman and he will give a bond that covers the bail of $3000. Its like a single premium insurance policy if your son fails to appear the bond company pays the court $3000. If he shows up. Then the bond company is off the hook. But you're out the premium.
