My wife filed for divorce in 2011 in NY state. In 2011 I made $100k. In 2012 I'm on track to make 150k. If the divorce is finalized in 2012 which years income is used to calculate my child support?
It sounds counterintuitive, but it really doesn't matter. Once your income goes up more than 15% (or down) a recalculation can be made on the application of either party.
