sexual harrasment

My wife works at a privately funded school and she was being harrased by one of the employees. First she confronted the person and then for approximately a weeks time she was getting trashed left on her desk and other objects on her seat. She then contacted school officials who then threatened both of them and stated both would be fired for the conduct. Since then the male has quit but got his job back at the same place but administrators have demoted my wife and every chance something happens they begin to berate her in attempt to make her quit or fire her. I was wondering if this would be considered a eeo complaint and what would the school legal ramifications be if she placed the compl.

Re: sexual harrasment

Your wife should speak with an attorney. The first step is to file a "charge" with the EEOC. Then the EEOC will attempt to set up a mediation between the parties. Whether or not your wife will obtain a successful settlement or award will depend entirely on the facts. Have your wife contact me if she would like to discuss this at greater length.
