I currently have joint residential and legal custody of my now 12 yr old daughter had have been trying for 7 yrs to get her into a different school district but her mother refuses because it would be an inconvience for her where I have been driving the child to school the entire time and she wants to go to a different school. What options do I have?

It depends on the nature of any custodial agreement you have with the mother. Most such agreements, if well-written, have a provision that sets out how disputes of this nature are resolved. For example, it might provide for mediation, arbitration, or might bestow the decision in one parent or the other. If you have no agreement, or if yours doesn't preclude litigation, you can file a court petition seeking a determination of this issue, which will be decided in the best interests of your daughter.
